to the girl who feels like she doesn't belong

Maybe you’re at school and everyone seems like they want to be your friend but you get home and the only text you get is someone asking for the math homework….

Maybe your best friend that you’ve been friends with for as long as you can remember starts leaving you for people who are more “popular” and you can feel y’all slowly drifting away from each other… Maybe you’re the girl who is glued to her phone on a Friday night looking online only to see pictures of cliques and feel even more isolated… Maybe you’re the girl who tries to fit in with the party crowd. The girl who dances to the music and watches a bunch of girls take selfies. Maybe you’re the girl who gets asked to take a picture of them only to see it on Instagram the next day WITHOUT a photo cred. Rude huh? Whatever the circumstance is, you feel alone, unwanted, you feel like a loser, and you start to think you have no friends. Well I am here to tell you… YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Deuteronomy 31:8 says, “It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” The enemy can see you growing in your faith and sweet girl, he doesn’t like it. He is going to do anything and everything he can to keep you from seeing the great things the Lord has in store for you. He wants to take your friends from you to make you feel alone and unwanted…to make you feel like no one cares. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE ENEMY, SWEET GIRL. God tells us so many times in his word that he will NEVER leave us. He loves you so much and wants to be your BEST friend and that relationship means more than any other friendship you will EVER have. As you get into high school you may realize that some of your "friends" aren’t who they used to be and they aren’t going after the same things you are. You may be called a “party pooper” or a “goody two shoes” and that doesn’t always feel too great… trust me I know! But what I have come to realize is this road you are walking on with God may be narrow, you may lose several friends, and you may feel alone a LOT but…this path is TOTALLY worth taking. When you start to feel alone and rejected by all of your “friends” look past the situation and realize that there is more in store for you than just being rejected. God has HUGE plans for you sweet girl and along the way I can assure friends will leave you but I can also assure that God will NEVER leave you; and when you fall in love with him you will meet so many other girls who are in love with him as well and you will bond with them over that love. You may feel alone now, but GREAT things are in store for you…so stay on this road with the one who will be with you ALWAYS…until the end of age. xoxo L.K.
