Let me just say this first. HOW IN THE WORLD IS IT ALREADY AUGUST?!!! WHAT THE FRUIT?!!!
Summer has certainly flown by and in about a little under 3 weeks I will be packing my bags and heading back to college.
This summer has been packed with many unfulfilled goals, a jammed packed work schedule, and many complex confusing thoughts about my life.
This summer has been really weird and so different.
If there is one major life lesson that I have learned this summer, it would be the following:
"The summer after your freshman year of college is going to
be weird and that's okay, because that's just life."
I came home to my small-town, already planning lunch dates/sleepovers with my high school friends. But guess what? The lunch dates and sleepovers barely happened, because I was faced with a wake up call. Life. In life we get busy, and it's hard to keep in contact with the ones we love when we are miles away from home; so we lose connections.
The friends from back home make new friends, just as you are making friends in college. When you do have the chance to meet up, you will swap stories about life and that's okay. If you can't visit your friends because of work, then work hard and make bank. If you miss your college friends, make time and go visit them. We only have one life in this world, so make the most of it.
Remember that you are never alone; God is always with you.
